Multitrack on Garageband

Hello, I need help figuring out how to record two instruments at once on different tracks using a toneport UX2 and Garageband 3. I know its an old version but I'm hoping someone still knows how to use it. I was running two microphones with 1/4 outputs into the "normal" and "pad" inputs on the front of the toneport and a usb out into my macbook. Though only the normal input was producing a signal. I had two tracks set to record but they were both only recording the one mic. How can I get one channel per mic?

    Hey Unterreiner,

First off you will need to configure which inputs you would like to listen from your UX2.

-Launch the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Device menu located in your System Preferences.

-Select the Inputs & Recording tab.

-Select which input source you would like to listen to here.

      Within GarageBand:

      -Create two tracks.

-Assign the input of track 1 to desired output of the UX2, and do the same for track 2.

      I hope this helps.
