I have my jtv hooked up to my podx3 live with a vdi cable and i'm getting nothing what do i need to do?
did you change the input to variax?
yes I changed it to variax ch1 and variax ch2
do you have the alt tune knob set to model?
i don't have one yet... so these are just ideas....
yes i've tried all the settings. i had sound for a second and that was it then nothing else... i'm gettin kinda ****** here as i've waited for months for this guitar lol.
I've tried global setting enabled and disabled on my x3 live
Nevermind..... Sweetwater sent me a bad VDI cable. Figured it out by using the cat5 cable that came with the USB interface.
Don't use the cat 5 cable for any extended length of time. The connector is slightly smaller than the VDI connector, and because there is no locking shell, it will damage the guitar's connector. Then the VDI connection won't work until it's replaced on the guitar.
Yes I know. It came in handy for trouble shooting though. Definitely wouldn't have used it for anything other than that.
Are your comments related to a standard Cat5 cable or the specific cable that ships with the guitar for the USB connection?
I ordered a separate vdi cable but yes I used the cable that came with the jtv that has the housing on one end.
I believe they are just cat5 cables with metal housing on the ends.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
