Noisy Pod Pro

I recently bought a used Pod Pro.  It seems to me that it's too noisy even with the noise gate in.

On some models with no distortion, it seems to me it should be dead quiet.

Any suggestions?

    stoty50134,

What kind of noise is this? Do you get this noise in different locations? (Different rooms, houses, venues) Are you close to a TV or computer monitor as the pickups of your guitar can get noise from the radiation they emit. Also, try connecting to different outlets and disconnect other devices from the outlet. Make sure to check your cables with other 'quiet' connections to an amp or pedals.

There are many reasons to get noise or buzz and a lot of time involve other devices in your own home. Could even be a ground loop hum which would require the need for a Ground Loop hum eliminator.

    Regards,
