UX 1 Vs Windows 7 Driver Issue

Looking back through threads over the last year or so and having now had my local PC independents take my computer apart, I've now come to understand that the reason that my UX 1 is of little more use than a paperweight is because I'm running Windows 7. Rubbish.

Could somebody please give an indication of whether the glitching caused by the driver is ever going to get fixed.

I'm annoyed in the face of having to scale back to XP to make something that should work, work.

    Hey Steve_Townend,

Please try removing any additional unnecessary USB and firmware devices from your computer when troubleshooting this issue. Make sure to connect it directly to a USB port and not a USB hub, extension, or keyboard of any kind, preferably connect it to a USB port on the rear of computer. Try using additional USB cables and every USB port available.

If you can confirm that all of your drivers are up to date as well, you might want to try optimizing the windows 7 operating system for performance. We have some tutorials available to assist you with this, please follow the links below:

In addition, if you are using a DAW, try increasing the buffer size on the audio preferences menu. As well as changing the buffer size on the Line 6 Audio-MIDI device menu which is located on the Control Panel.

We also have some USB audio troubleshooting information at the link below:

If your computer has a AMD chipset you might be experiencing an issue with the USB filter, for information on how to remove, please follow the link below:

Please review all of this, and let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

RE: UX 1 Vs Windows 7 Driver Issue

Just for clarification, are you running your computer on Windows XP now, or did you revert back to Windows 7?

Also, in POD Farm 2.5, there is a bug on the inputs availability when you connect a POD Studio interface.

      Workaround for Windows:

      - Launch Pod Farm 2.50, then unplug the USB cable and plug it again while the program is still running.

      - Then, go to 'File/Preferences' and select your Toneport/PodStudio in the 'Hardware' tab.  Hit the 'Apply' button, then hit OK.  Audio should be available.

Also, if you are using another interface, please make sure to select it within the Hardware tab of 'File/Preferences.'

      Regards,
