recording advice on s/jam

is it possible to record ,vocal and guitar at same time(guitar pluged into the guitar input , not the aux input). The only way i can record vocals and guitar at the same time ,is when the guitar is pluged into the aux input... Having the guitar pluged into the aux input whilst recoding my vocals and rec guitar, does not allow me to use the effects on the amp (distortion ect). Am i missing something. Thank you

Use the Guitar input for your guitar, then convert your microphone's connection to a 1/4" and input via Aux for teh vocals. Make sure that you have "Aux Input Mixed With Guitar" seleced for the RECORD Select (press and hold the RECORD Select button for 3 seconds and use the jog dial to set the value in the screen to "Mixed With Guitar".

Guitar will run through the amp modelling, Aux (vocal) will not.
