DT50 212 Loudly Pops Selecting Ch. B

I've had my DT50 for about 2 weeks and I'm using a HD500 to control it. I'm trying to use ch. A with the Vox preamp and then when I turn off the preamp the DT50 reverts to ch. B which is set up as class IV. The problem I'm having is that when switching the amp 'pops' at full volume even if I keep the tube classes the same. It's been doing this since day one so I'm not sure if this is normal operation since the power amp section is reconfiguring or if I need to go through the return process.

Is there any easier way to do dual amp clean/dirty switching? I love the sound of it when it settles down, but it is impossible to record with and cringe-worthy when playing live. Anyone else?

Thanks

when you change topologies you are actually changing analog circuitry inside the DT50, this is normal.... unfortunately...

your best bet is to find a single topology that cleans up how you want and dirtys up how you want...

switching within a single topology should not give you the same issue...

however with an HD500, you can still change pre-amps etc....

try using the full models on a single topology per song....

changing between songs while not playing should be a bit better.
