JTV69 - can you replace neck with a gibson short scale neck?

I have read on these forums how several early JTV69 customers replaced their stock neck with their own strat styke custom necks.

Is it possible to replace the stock neck with a short scale neck like a Gibson or a PRS scale length?

If so - has anyone tried this yet and what problems were encountered and how were they overcome, and what was the resulting guitar like?

Warmoth offers 24 and 3/4" conversion necks designed to convert/replace your 25.5" neck without modifying the body. You just have to re-intonate for the new scale length.

  Still interested in whether any JTV69 owners have tried it yet - or whether the only neck replacements have been with the same scale length.

    I haven't tried it myself, my 25 1/2" from Warmoth just arrived today, Hopefully I'll get it on tomorrow.
    but no short scale conversion experience to offer. Sorry!!

      I'd be interested in hearing about your neck swap on your JTV69 and how you get on with the new neck.
      Why did you decide to swap out the stock neck? And which Warmoth neck did you order as a replacement?
