OK. I own a POD HD500 but need to know which is the best amp or PA to buy to compliment it. I play mostly Classic Rock.
Anyone got any experiences or ideas?
I have looked at the DT50 amp but the price is well beyond my spending power. Looking to spend around £500
I realize you are asking about a PA system, but you also mentioned the DT50.
With that in mind, which specific three amp models do use the most?
I used my tech 21 powerengine at a gig friday night and Loved it! It does exactly what they advertize. I get the sound I like (love) in my living room and its essentially the same sound at any venue... I am finding when i mike it throught the pa there is a learning curve where to set the mixer settings. But standing in front of my amp.... I Love IT!

Hi Havagr81,
How do you find the output volume of the PE's at 60w SS? I'm assuming it would have to be mic'd in a gig setting.
Thanks,
d.

Versus 60W valve? A watt is a watt. Any differences in volume will be due to differences in voicing, impdedance mismatch or deviation from the 60W specification.
Hey D
Because its open backed and my drummer gets really ****** off (I set up with the amp close t his kit) with the volume... i keep it low 11 oclock 45 percent. thats why i mic the amp with a sm57 through qsc speakers otherwise I would just crank it and let the original sound fill the room.
