  Do you have a 1/4" cable (or headphone adapter/dummy plug) inserted into the Instrument Input jack?

    No I do not. I just plugged in the MP3 player.

  Hi,

     

     The spider III must have a 1/4 connector plugged into the front of the amp for the speaker to come on.
