I recently switched computers, and now I'm having the USB dropout issue when using the Pod X3 Live as my playback device; is there a fix available? The audio will play for a few seconds to half a minute before it quits.
Pod X3 Live: v 4.2.4.9
Line 6 Monkey: v 1.42
the fix is a trip to the service center... your hardware needs to be modified.
I plugged the Pod X3 Live into a Targus USB hub (model: pauh217U), and this has fixed all the playback issues!
that can cause other issues and its unsupported but awesome that its working anyway,....
by the way... the fix is *FREE* if you call the service center and have them reference tech bulletin #52
just saying... you might one it fixed proper one day.
good point...where can I find a copy of "tech bulletin #52?
you can't... it's only available to authorized service centers.
I found a local service provider; he has the part on order, referenced in tech bulletin #52, and asked me to drop off the X3 Live next week for the repair.
Is there a chance this fix is covered under warranty, even though my POD is 2+ years old?
100% covered, line6 picks up the tab on this fix. should not cost you a dime. line6 should pay the service center directly.
