How to use Line 6 POD Studio UX1 mic preamp or mic input.

I hope this is a no-brainer. I need to know how to use the mic preamp and the XLR input without the POD Farm software. I tried simply using the mic pre-amp like any other guitar jack input in the UX1 and I didn't get any signal on my DAW. Is my UX1 faulty?

you may have to start pod farm, go to the mixer area and choose your inputs...
you won't have to use pod farm... but the inputs are controlled by the software.

Hey nanda7509,

You can configure the active inputs within the Line 6 Audio-MIDI driver options that are accessible on the control panel within Windows, and the system preferences on a MAC.

The Inputs & Recording tab controls the active inputs of the UX1.

You will need to use either POD Farm or a DAW, or some other audio application to activate the inputs and outputs of the UX1 though.
