Hello,

I just acquired a Variax 300 (elec) and I'm loving it. I purchased the guitar used, and have the axe, power supply and TRS cable and power box.  I do not, however own a pod XT or 500HD, and the USB adapter package is nearly impossible to find, at least for under $100. Is there any way to access alt tunings from the guitar itself, without using the workbench software? 

Failing this, maybe there is a kind soul with an extra USB adapter willing to sell it to a Detroit musician at a reasonable price.
