And now it seems that the POD HD has decided to pack it in

After the screen failure mentioned in the previous post I made, the POD was still playable for a few minutes and then it stopped producing any sound.
I have only received this unit 24 hours ago (along with a DT25) and had been using the line6 link option to try and set up some patches.
Once again, I may have done something wrong. If there are any possible workarounds I would appreciate knowing what they are. I'll try another reset and see if that fixes it...very frustrating to have to travel back to the shop I purchased this from and then have to wait for an exchange (as they only had the one model come in especially for me).
That sounds like your unit is faulty. It should go back to the shop for replacement I think.
You could try a full factory reset as in my reply in your other thread.
Can you check you have the correct Power Supply Unit? It should be a DC-3G which will work with incoming voltages of between 100v AC and 240v AC and it should output 9v DC at 3 Amps It should be a 9v DC PSU and NOT a 9v AC PSU 2000mA which is the type supplied with older PODs (PX-2)
If you have a 9v AC PSU your supplier has given you the wrong PSU for some reason and that could result in all the symptoms you're seeing plus maybe some more.

I'm sure obvious to most, but wasn't to me. Most of the presets use the foot pedal for volume, and I never use the foot pedal for volume. So when I first got the unit, I thought a lot of the patches didn't work, or were 'weak' sounding until I pressed the pedal down and realized that most patches were using volume control!

HI
Thanks for that. The pedal was down, power supply is the DC-3G. I guess I'll have to organise an exchange!
Shame really as I was hoping to use this at a gig tomorrow.
All the best
DC-3G is the correct PSU....Something to check is the XLR cable you are using on the link...For best results, make sure you are using an AES/EBU (or DMX)rated XLR cable...
HI
Thanks for the reply
I think the unit is just faulty. Called the Australian distribuor this morning to organise an exchange for a new model.
All the best
