i heard they are hard to get a hold of right now... but that they are shipping!
Isn't it supposed to be a free download from app store?
the app yes...
but the app won't work unless you buy the interface....
I'm attempting to find the app but I can't. I search mobile pod and nothing comes up.
doesn't appear to be released yet... do you already have the hardware?
No. But I was seriously thinking about buying it. Don't wanna wait though when I do.
i've honestly not heard of a single user getting a hold of one yet...
so maybe its not on itunes because they aren't yet available for anything but pre-orders...
I just bought the hardware today at GC. No App online though.
Bought one yesterday and no app....wth ...how can you sell a product that can't be used? Not a very good impression of Line 6. Does anyone know when we can get the app?
Spoke with Line6 support rep today and was told the app is being held up in the review process by Apple; he said they expect it to be released later today (11/10/2011) or tomorrow.
thanks for passing that on ![]()
The Mobile In seems to be a massive desaster for Line 6.
I have already purchased the following equipment from Line 6 and I am a real fan of their hardware:
I have also ordered a Line 6 Mobile In on the Internet, from Thomann, Germany (the biggest Music Equipment Retailer in Europe). The delivery date was set to 28th of October, which, according to Thomann customer service was the proposed delivery date for the interface. On the day of the 28th, the delivery was posponed to the 9th of November.
Something else changed: Around the day of the 28th of October, Line 6 added a nice yellow button on the Mobile In product page on their website: „Coming Soon“.
According to Thomann this was the confirmed delivery date from Line 6 and Thomann customer service told me that the product would definetely ship on 9th of November. The product was supposed to arrive by then and would immediately ship to the pending customer orders (there seem to be many).
9th of November passed and there is no shipment. There is no app on the Apple App Store. There is no Mobile In. Thomann right now has no further information from Line 6 and they seem to be kind of dissapointed about that. There seem to be many backlogged orders and many unhappy customers.
I have no reason to believe that Thomann, the biggest european seller of musical instruments and the one with by far the best reputation, is telling its customers fairy tales. They won't put specific dates into their delivery targets if they do not get these dates from the vendor. Why shoud they? To create a lot of trouble?
I would be glad to hear something from Line 6, they have not been responding to people who already have the hardware (distributed by mistake?). No answer by mail, not in this forum.
Line 6, if you guys don't get the app finished, or approved by Apple, thats fine, just let people know what the status is. Nobody is going to hang you for that, these things happen. Just let loyal Line 6 customers know where the problem is, what the status is and if there is a realistic time frame for shipment of the interface (and software).
I know that there was never a specific release date set by Line 6, but something has been going out through the supply chain, pictures, prices, availybility and it looks like it was even the interface itself. Is this a strategie to stop people from buying the Apogee Jam? I just don't get it...
Please ignore my bad english, I am no native speaker.
Hey davidadickinson,
We're very sorry that the Mobile POD app hasn't appeared on the App Store yet. It has been submitted to Apple and is still undergoing their App Review process. While we hope Mobile POD will debut on the App Store in just a couple days, it's in Apple's hands now so we're not able to provide any official time frame. A daily search of the App Store for 'Mobile POD' is your best bet.
It's up now!
Where? I did a App store search and nothing came up.
It's there, just search for Mobile Pod or look at the latest Music Apps. ![]()
Found the app but it appears that apple took out the feature to play with your iTunes library. Can anyone figure out how to do this?
