Found a Replacement Handle for Combo

The outer cover of the handle that came with my MkI SV112 combo was cracking and starting to look a little ratty, so I replaced it recently. I figured I would share with the group since I think it turned out great.
Here is a link to the website I bought the handle from:

This replacement handle's outer cover is made from a synthetic leather like the stock handle, but it looks and feels like a higher-quality material. It also has a steel reinforcement strap inside of it like the stock one. The length of the replacement handle is perfect, and it's nicely padded. It comes with everything you would need to install it on a new amp, but the only thing you really need is the handle itself. I reused the screws, the two die cast pieces that secure the handle to the amp, and the nuts pressed into the bottom side of the top panel of the cabinet. You don't have to remove the chassis to do the job. It should take less than 20 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. The total cost was around 20 USD shipped within the U.S.

Me likey - Thanks! This was the only complaint I had with my MkI, which I bought new - the handle was a POS. This was also my first experience with Line 6 tech supprt. I asked them about the handle, told them mine was breaking, and never got any resolution on it. I mail ordered the amp from Guitar Center adn tech support wanted me to take it back to GC or to an authorized service center, either of which is 2+ hours away. All for a f'ed up handle, brand new to boot. You would think they would have just send me out a new handle, but noooooooo...
The first thing I noticed on the MkII was they had changed the handle design. ![]()
