Does anyone know how to...

Anyone out there knows how to connect ONE Variax guitar into multiple VDI inputs without frying the circuits??
Is there such a thing as a VDI splitter box?
I'd like to...take power from only ONE source, and NOT send or receive additional power from any other VDI connected unit.
That's one topic.................................................................Here’s a related topic…………………………..
Can anyone out there design a switching "box" that would allow ONE FBV longboard to control up to FOUR Line 6 RJ45 inputs. Same situation with power from only one source at a time.
I have "too many" Line 6 VDI pieces of gear and it's really getting ridiculous having pedalboards all over the floor or even sitting on top of my cabs. MIDI is doing a great deal of the work, but it's just not exactly the functionality I'm hoping to get.
I would love it is there were a switch box that I could plug FOUR units (Vetta combo, HD500, POD HD PRO, POD X3) with the above situation resolved as well and simply step on a box that switches the ONE FBV longboard from controlling my Vetta to controlling my POD HD PRO, or POD X3 PRO while switching the guitar I/O as well.
And while I'm dreaming - how about a display that shows me what each unit is doing INCLUDING what guitar I'm currently modeling in each unit - whether I'm actually using that guitar/amp combination at that time. I want all displays to show all the time and perhaps just highlight the one or more I'm hearing through my speakers? I'm preferably not looking for a one or two line text display, but a real teleprompter type display about typical current laptop size or iPad 2 size.
I figure if this is "dream rig" - I'm going to dream about what I really need as functionality since I'm fortunate enough to already have my dream rig gear.
Take care,
Neal
