I can't find POD HD400 patches other than customtones. I have tried to get some patches by posting a patch request on some of the discussions but got no response. Can anyone help me and many other POD HD400 user with this?
Sure! You know Glenn Delaune? For years he's been a Line6 user and have been posting lots of incredible videos on YouTube using his PODs.
Check out his website here: http://www.glenndelaune.com/Patch%20Download%20Area.htm
At the right side you'll see the HD400, 5 amazing audio samples with your unit and the download patches link is http://www.glenndelaune.com/audio/Patch_download_samples/HD400Patches/GlennDeLauneHD400Patches.zip
Check out his videos on YouTube.
Here's one with Glenn with a demo on his HD400:

I hope you enjoy his tones and I'd suggest you watching this:

Let us know what you think about these patches.
Good luck!
Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded Glenn's patches before and those patches were awesome. But that's just 5 patches. The thing is all we line 6 POD HD400 users want more signature tones and more patches. I have been checking customtones.com for quite a while now and I noticed no new patches exist anymore. I find the same old patches. I have watched both the links just after I bought HD400 which are very helpful. Can you please help me with some of the patches that I want?
I'm glad I could help with the videos.
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I have the HD500 on which I'm still struggling to get the tones I used to get on my X3 Live... but it's because I received my unit last week.
About HD400 and CustomTone, there are two things:
1- As far as Line6's discussion forum and also the CustomTone aren't that easy to be explored (my thoughts... I still like the old forum about 3 years ago)... you may not got into how to check it out.
I went to Custom Tone for you and saw that the latest HD400 tone was sent 3 days ago!! So... yes... people have been sending tones. Until today there are 250 tones found for HD400.
Here follows to complete links to help you finding them:
First one: http://line6.com/customtone/browse/podhd400/?sort=rating&sort_dir=DESC
--->> All the HD400 tones at Custom Tone, organized by the rating from the 5 stars descending to the ones people rated the worst
PS: When I search at Custom Tone, this is the way I search, organizing by Rating from the best descending to the worst
Second one: http://line6.com/customtone/browse/podhd400/?sort=posted&sort_dir=DESC
--->> All the HD400 tones at Custom Tone, organized by date from the earliest to the oldest
PS: only for you to see that yes, people have been uploading tones
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2- Most of the people only download tones and don't upload tones (I don't know why but some get "jealous" of their tones and don't like sharing... but they forget that not necessarily a tone I get from my amp and guitars is the same you will get even with the same patch, because of the guitars, pickups, amps/monitors and specially your feeling... the way you play... that makes a huge difference).
Yes, people should be encouraged to upload more and more tones... in order to help not only guys like you trying to get a great tone, but to help themselves too, as far as you can download a patch from someone, make it better and re-upload it improved.... on which I'm sure the first author will be very glad to see some improvements.
But everybody should start uploading... so as you saw that there have been new uploads since 3 days ago, you should tweak a little and upload your own tones, in order to help HD400 users and encourage all the others to upload more and more tones.
... long post ![]()
Hope I'd helped a little more...
Thanks birro for your reply.
Yes, I agree with you. Line 6 users are uploading the presets. I noticed around 20 tones have been uploaded since December 2010 which I think is not that frequent. I agree with you on this too that we only download tones and don't upload any. It's been 3 months that I bought my POD HD 400 but uploaded only a single tone on customtones but I have created a lots of tones that suit my playing style and feeling like you said.
Yeah, It was a long post by you. It was a help bro
.
Can you help me with the clean tone used on this song?

I know you own HD 500 but it would be a great help if you post the setup you will use creating this tone. I have created this tone already but the thing is I can't get the cruch on the tone as used in this song. I couldn't find this tone for HD400 on customtones either. If you're free, help me with this.
Thank You,
Bjn
Hey Bjn,
Sure I can help you. Give me some days cause I'll be out for the new year's party but I can give you a hand on this.
First of all: that clean tone is used with the bridge pickup, a humbucker pickup.
That delay isn't hard to get. I'll start taking a look at that for you.
Merry christmas and happy new year!
Hey there,
I have created a patch for this tone. I think I got the delay perfect. Only concern is the crunch to the sound. I have used chorus and little bit of reverb as well. Hope you'll get it right.
Meryy Chirstmas and Happy New Year to you as well ![]()
Enjoy and keep rocking \m/
I have a wah problem on my HD 400 when using Marshall JCM 800 amp model. I have posted this on the user discussion too. Here's a link to it. If you can figure out something.

Posted there. Pretty easy issue... I had the same thing at the beginning ![]()
Attach your tone to your reply in order for me to check out what you've done and try to match the crunch sound.
What guitar/pickups do you have??
Here's a link to the tone that I've uploaded

I own Ibanez XP300FX with Inf3/Inf4 humbuckers on it.
