xd v-55hs vs xd v-75hs

Hi,

are there any hardware differences between the transmitters and microphones in the v-55hs system compared to the v-75hs system?

    Yes.  They use different mic capsules.  There are 10 models in the XD-V75's and four in the XD-V55.  Encryption is only available in the V75 handheld

      Sorry, but the question was if there is any difference in the hardware of the headset microphone and transmitter (bodypack) between the hs systems... (V55 compared to V75)

        My bad.  I guess I should put my reading glasses on

         

        The transmitters are electrically the same ... but ... with a V55 beltpack you only get 12 channels while you get 14 on the V75 model.  There are a few other minor differrences because of the difference in firmware.  You cannot flash a V55 as a V75.

         

        I believe the plan is that the mics are the same ... but ... I have only seen beta versions and they may change in production.
