A big thanks to the person that made the 16 full amp setlist!

I've been using my HD500 for a while now and have been collecting patches, bundles and custom tones. I just got around to loading the setlist that someone here made and posted that was 16 full amps. They also made one with the pre-amps . Wow! Thanks so much for all of that work! I now have 88 amps at the click of a button. There were 16 amps, 4 settings in each number and I've now added the other 6 amps on another setlist. It is great to be able to try out each amp with different drive settings. I've been tweaking the patches of course to go with my set-up.
I have experienced the ear piercing squealing 2 times and have since stopped using HD Edit in my headphones until this is fixed, (as per the email sent) this is a side note as most of the posts seem to be a problem or negative and I wanted to post some positive things about my experiences with the HD500. I'm also really looking forward to the update as I am now using the HD500 for electric, acoustic, vocal and bass and to do 2 channel recording into Reaper. I initially bought this to replace my Boss GT8 for effects only and have been blown away by the HD500's versitility.
My set-up is a Crate Power Block into a Celestion 112 150watt 8ohm in a custom cab. I have the HD500 set to studio/direct and am using the effects loop of the Power Block as the input for the HD500. This is the best sound for me so far. I also use a Peavey Valveking into a custom 212 but like the sounds I get from the Power Block better.
Thanks again for that effort as it must have taken a while to get this setlist together.
There is a great community here and I rarely post as my questions are usually answered before I get a chance to post them.
Cheers,
Jason
The person who created that setlist was Nick Mattocks - one of the most knowledgeable and helpful people around here. He's probably too humble to respond to this himself, so on his behalf let me say thank-you for acknowledging his hard work.

Thanks Nick! It's nice to be able to thank you directly. This is a great setlist!
Anyone know if there is a way to retain the previous amp settings when switching to another amp model?

The answers are yes and no, respectively. Yes - I do know. And No - you can't do it. When switching amp models the default settings of the new model are always applied - no way to change that.

Hi Jason
No problem. I'm glad you found it useful.
It was a quick and dirty set list and only took a couple of hours at most given that all the FX are the same throughout and it was only the amp modela that changed. HD500 Edit made it possible to copy and paste the basic template across to all 64 locations in the set list and then it was just a matter of setting the amp models up roughly in order from A to D as Clean, Mild Distortion, Heavier Drive and Lead with position D being intentionally louder than A, B and C.
No. Sorry. When changing an amp model within a patch you can't retain its settings to apply to the next amp and that's primarily because every amp model is based on a real amp, most of which differ quite a bit in their control architecture - and in any case applying the same settings to say a Fender Twin model and a Mesa Dual Rectifier model would be pretty pointless given that one is considered a clean amp and the other a raging monster amp model ![]()

Nick
where can i find this setlist,at costom tone?? can some one post a link?
Dunken the link to the thread is here http://line6.com/support/thread/46526?tstart=0
When Nick first posted the (excellent) setlist the HD forum wasn't fully running (if at all) so the original message is in the X3 forum.
Have fun with them!
Cheers
John
That makes a lot of sence Nick. It would make it easier to audition different similar models but a Fender and a Mesa are so different that this would seem the right way to go.
Thanks again!
Jason
