Some times no sound on my POD HD

Hi, i am a PDD HD400 user. I´m on the latest Firmware. But some times my HD400 got a very low level sound. Then suddenly the level of the sound comes back.

I tryed different guitars. All the same. I connect the POD HD with XLR or LINE cable to the mixer.

How can i solve this problem!

Thx, Richard

Many users have problems after doing a firmware update, but then have forgotten to do a global reset after that (that's how it works with my HD500). Save your presets over the editor first!

If this problem remains it would be interesting if you also have problems from sound over usb to a PC or/and over headphones (directly from the device, not over the mixer). This shows you if there is a problem with the device or with your mixer / cables / amplification.

Once I had a low volume myself because in my preset the volume pedal was active and the cable moved the pedal.

The HD300 and 400 do not have a Global Settings reset  feature as such, AFAIK.  They have a 'Factory Reset'  which does something similar but wipes out patches.  Therefore, if you want to use this, backup all of your patches first using HD Edit.  You can restore them later.

The reset procedure is to hold down the 'A' footswitch and power up the HD400.

A factory reset may be worth trying.  On the HD500/Bean/Pro there are some known glitches with firmware versions above 1.40 around sound dropouts but these do not apply to the HD400/300.,  If the reset does not work then check cables.  Also try wiggling all the knobs in case one of them is cocked between two positions.

If all else fails, and the unit is less than a year old, put in a warranty call.

Please reinstall the flash memory in your POD HD400 and let us know the results.
