M5 and Boss FV-500H expression pedal

Hello everybody,
this question has been discussed here before but up to now to no sufficient result: I would like to use the BOSS FV-500H Volume pedal at the same time as a volume pedal and as an expression pedal for two different effects, a line6 M5 and an EHX memory boy. the FV-500H has dual pots for volume and expression ( and a separate expression pedal input so this is possible (i have the volume pedal in a loop so i can switch it on or off while using it as an exp-pedal and i also have a little lehle II stereo switcher for switching between the memory boy (needs TRS cabling) and the M5).
The Problem is: due to whatever reason I can either use the FV-500H as a volume pedal and an exp-pedal for the memory boy or as a stand-alone exp-pedal for the m5 since the exp-pedal will only work correctly with the m5 when the volume knob on the FV-500H (which controls the volume of the heel position of the pedal) is set to maximum. Unfortunately this leaves me with an unusable volume swell range and a non-functional exp-function for the memory boy. at the moment i have to manually turn the knob on the FV-500H to to be able to use it with the m5 which by itself is not a big deal but since i would like to use volume swells together with pitch bends (think pink floyd's "echoes" middle section) this does not work for me.
I guess the problem could be solved using some simple electronics since it is only the difference between a "min" and a "max" setting on a simple pot that makes it work but I need technical advice so I can tell my local music store tech to build me what i need (which I guess to be not more than a simple bux with an input and an output and a resistor of some sort) Modding the FV-500H is probably not an option since it works correctly with the EHX memory boy and also as a volume pedal.
any help (especially on the values needed and expected by the M5 for the two positions of the FV-500H to work properly other than "passive 10K ohm mono linear taper pot, using a standard 1/4 inch mono instrument cable") is greatly appreciated!
best regards,
Tony

one more thread that covers this issue:

this shows the dual pot of the FV-500H which is 250k for volume and 10k for exp.
Sorry to say this, but the expression pedal has to be within the specs that our units are designed to see (the passive 10K ohm mono linear taper pot, using a standard 1/4 inch mono instrument cable). I've had the best luck with the Mission Engineering pedal: http://www.mission-engineering.com/Mission-Engineering/Line_6.html (for Wah) and our EX1 for Volume/Parameter sweeps.
