Hi Guys.
I'm really struggling at the moment, i wonder if anyone can help.
I have a XD-V70 system with handheld tranmitter, which is fantastic by the way
, and have just purchased a XD-V75 as an additional system.
I plugged in the XD-V75 to my mac running snow leopard and following instructions provided, installed line 6 monkey and connected up the recievers via a trs cable.
Performed the update on the V70 reciever via the v75 and everything went smoothly and i now have the 2.0 firmware on my v70.![]()

When i attempted to update my v70 transmitter using the v75 reciever as instructed postioned over ANT OUT B, and after placing the v70 transmitter into update mode by turning on unit, turning unit off, then whilst holding the power off button pressing select 8 times to place the unit in to rf update mode. i tried it in every position and it still would not detect the transmtter and wont update.![]()
Am i being really thick?, i am pretty computer savvy usually and i spent 3 hours trying browsing forum and trying different things.![]()
Could it be a problem with my transmitter, or that im running a mac?.
Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.
Regards![]()

UPDATE: I did get a new XD-V70 transmitter exchanged for my original handset a few months back, as that one had a faulty battery compartment.
There is another post with a guy with exactly the same problem as mine, as he cant get his transmitter loader mode to stay on screen and the line 6 just reboots itself.
And mentioned about it possibly being an alpha unit?
Don't know if this helps.
i had similar prob...this document sorted it for me...took me a while to get it right ...

Make sure you switch all all firewalls and anti virus.
If you have done all this , it maybe a mac problem ??
Yes, i followed that guide and what the line 6 monkey told me to do absolutely to the instructions provided, i turned off little snitch and iantivirus when performing the update, it seems to me its more to do with my transmitter being the problem as it shows loader mode but very briefly before getting the line 6 loadup screen, its almost as if it doesnt like being put into loader and then restarts itself. very weird.
This other thread i found http://line6.com/support/message/355163#355163 explains exactly whats happening a little better.
One thing to try if it kicks out while trying to update a transmitter, but failing. You should re-boot your computer at this point.
Now when you get back to flashing again ... once in loader mode, when you lay the transmitter on the antenna you should see the LCD screen in the transmitter flash on and off and you may hear your computer ding as it recognises it. Set the transmitter with the LCD screen facing up and with the battery/body joint right about where the antenna cover joins to the bottom part of the antenna.
I'm not sure from a couple of descriptions here ... so please fill me in. Are you saying that the "loader on" message appears on the LCD screen of the transmitter and then goes off? I've never seen that happen. Once you get into loader mode it should hold there until you sucessfully flash the unit or the batteries run out. You are using good batteries, right?
If you've got an alpha unit it may not update, but you couldn't have purchased one from a dealer.
Also the instruction must be followed exactly. There are some things you may think don't sound right, but it allsow all the handshaking necessary. So even though you think you have followed them, please make absolutely sure. Trust me, I screwed it up a few times thinking I was following them only to find out I missed something.
The transmitter will exit loader mode but it takes about 4 minutes. The LED should stay lit and say Loader On while in loader mode.
The most critical step most people miss in doing the update is to make sure they are logged into Monkey, although you would not have been able to update the reciever if you had done this.
You are putting the antenna on the Antenna B out right? And you are still using the V75 receiver for the update, not trying to do it with the updated V70 right?
