L6 link, pod hd500, DT25 and tone suck

Doyou know if I can use a GigRig z cable with a DT25 and L6 link? Is the L6 link digital?

It's a great piece of kit and greatly improves tone with my pedals. http://www.thegigrig.com/acatalog/Z_Cable_catalog.html

Perhaps I use it in front of the POD HD500 after my pedals?

I don't really want to use 4cm with a DT25.

I'm concerned I'm going to the tone of my guitar through pedals, then POD, into a modelling amp.

How do you find tone transparency with the POD HD500 and DT25? Can you still hear the natural sound of the guitar?

Thanks,

Ben

Hey Ben, the connections using the dream rig setup is completely digital if you are using the L6 cable and XLR from the HD to the DT.

The device you listed would only work with the analog side of the guitar Analog out of the guitar to the analog in of the HD. Realize if you use this method of connection you will always need to keep your battery charged in your JTV and you will lose patch controll of your models.

My opinion- use the guitar models to suit your taste on tone and go full digital. A full digital connection chain is the highest quality possible.
