I'm attempting to update my xd-v70s with my xd-v75s & Monkey 1.51, Windows Vista. I get to the "loader enabled" step, open "Monkey", and it does not recognize the xd-v75 receiver. I've made exceptions to the firewall, shut off the firewall, shut off antivirus. HELP!

Monkey should already be open before you get to that step. You should already be a couple of steps into the process before you switch the loader mode on.
If you got part way through the process but we not sucessful, you should start over by re-booting your computer and restarting Monkey. It is very important that when you connect the V75 receiver to the computer you do it with the power cable dis-connected, plugging the power back in after the USB cable is attached.
Are you trying to flash handhelds or beltpacks?

Thanks for the reply. I am attempting to update the XD-v70 handhelds/receivers from the XD-v75.
In the update procedure -
http://http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2585
-"launch Line 6 monkey" is clearly step 5, AFTER putting the XD-v75 receiver into "loader enabled" mode... Is this incorrect? In any event, there is no option to address XD-v anything from the Monkey screen, and I get no help from launching Monkey first.
Is there some procedure/needed action I need to perform to use Monkey? I'm thinking all of this should be easy...
Thanks,
Tim Tyler
Sorry ... I was thinking about the "loader on" message in the transmitters.
Are you using Monkey 1.51?
So ,yes, plug in the receiver. Get the loader on message and start Monkey
A screen should show up with the choices to update. Id this is not happening I suspect that your computer is not recognising the V75 receiver as a USB device. Can you possibly try another computer? Or dive into your device manager in the computer.

I tried my wife's laptop (HP Probook, Win 7), downloaded Monkey (1.51) and it seems to be working as intended. I haven't performed the update to the XD-v70s yet, but I feel like I'm OK here.
Still no love with my Toshiba Vista machine (Monkey 1.51), but my son-in-law is a network pro, so I'll offer it to him as a challenge.![]()
Thanks much for your speedy help here, Still lovin' these mics!
Cheers,

Glad it worked out for you. There is probably something switched the wrong way that you just can't see in the first computer.
