My L6 link does not affect anything on my brand new DT-25

The amp is working normally. When I plugged the xlr cable and put the guitar cable on the pod nothing happens. I set the preset as the video tutorial.
The cable is working fine with a mic. What should be the problem?
Make sure you are using the L6 link output on the POD HD. It's right next to the power supply.
The connections are in the right place. Nothing happens. The amp and the pod does not see each other.
Did you plug in the Line 6 link, then turn on the pod HD and wait for it to 'boot', then turn on the DT25?
I have found with mine that if I plug in the line 6 link whilst both the amp and pod are on the amp sometimes gets confused.

Well, what happened now is that the connection began to work but only if I plug a simple cable on th input amp and the output of the Pod! So it's like this:
guitar to pod and from the pod I have a XRL cable for the L6 Link and an instrument cable doing the output of the pod to the input of the amp!! It seems odd to me but like this when I turn the knobs in one changes the other. If I take off the instrument cable everything dissapears!
Is it possible that the XRL cable have a dead pin and the other cable is doing its job?
Does anyone know how the XRL cable works in this L6 Link? I mean which pin does what?
The cable I have is working with the microphone. Is it possible? I don't know anything about eletronics.
Can anyone help me?
An XLR cable has 3 independent cores so it is entirely possible that1 can be broken and not effect the others. LIne 6 have not said how their proprietary link use the cable, but it could be as simple as control messages down 1 core and audio down another.
It definitely sounds as though your XLR cable has a break somewhere. Can you get hold of another XLR cable to test?

That's what I will do.
I will post after the test.
If you read the documentation you should notice that Line6 specs out using a AES Cable or a (DMX) cable . It is important as I found out the hard way. Invest in a quality DMX Cable!!!
Well. I bought a normal one, but a new one, and it's working properly.
I save some and then buy an AES cable. But what is the difference?
Stay in the mix and in the know.
