Does the new JTV send midi data?

Does the new JTV send midi data? Can it be used with the PODHD500 to send midi data, midi signal?

    I bought the Roland GR-55 and put one GK-3 pickup on each of my older Variax electric model 700 guitars.  Now I have the best of all possible worlds.  I have my olde Vax with new life because of the Roland GR-55 and all it's capabilities, plus I have the JTV guitars and POD HD Units to combine together for any sound I could possibly want or need.  Like this...
