M9 Volume Drop

I have found many questions about this volume drop but I haven't found an answer that fixes my problem, yet.
I run my guitar into the M9 and then straight out to my amp. In true bypass mode with no effects selected everything is great. When I select certain effects (mostly delays and reverbs) my volume drops a noticeable level. When I switch the effect off, my volume level increases back to normal. I can compensate for this when I'm using an effect that has an adjustable output level but don't want to always have one of those effects on and don't want to use one of my effect spots for something to boost the signal. I have this problem with every amp, guitar, and cable and it sounds like many others do, too.
Is there a fix for this? One that does not require another device to boost the signal or using one of the M9 effect spots to boost the signal.
Has Line6 acknowledged this problem? It is obvious that many people have this issue. For me, it makes an otherwise great unit unusable.
If there isn't one already, what's the timeframe going to be like for this to be corrected?
