Erasing factory presets in order to help free up additional DSP

I recently created my first dual tone preset on the POD HD 500 and I got the DSP LIMIT REACHED error message. I thought to erase some, or even all of the factory presets in an attempt to free up additional DSP resources. However, I'm not sure how to do this and secondly, I don't know if this will actually free up DSP in the User Set Lists. So my question is, does anyone know if erasing factory presets will help and if so does anyone know how to erase all the factory presets?
wont help in the least... the only way to reduce dsp is to make changes to the patch you are getting the message on... none of the other tones will affect available DSP.
