Used Mobile In --> Now Internal Speakers won't work on iPad 3

Has any one had this problem? I've done several troubleshootings.

 

Its almost like the speakers won't even be recognized, so I can't use the volume buttons b/c they won't register. If I plug headphones in, music will play and I can use the volume buttons. Additionally, the speakers will only register/work if I plug the iPad to charge OR if I plug the Mobile In....

 

Help???
