New JTV-89 clips with POD HD500?

I just got my new blood red JTV-89.

The guitar itself is beautiful and very comfortable, and according to the local distributor I'm probably the only guy in Israel that owns one

When plugged into my amp (Fender Hot Rod Deluxe) it sounds amazing.

However when plugged into the POD HD500 via either 1/4" audio or VDI most of the sounds enter distortion\clipping. Even "clean" sounds, such as those that come in the "best of POD" playlist get distorted.

My other guitar (Parker Nitefly SA) doesn't clip at all, so I thought this has something to do with the fact the JTV has a hotter output.

I tried to set "guitar in" as "pad" but that still happens.

This happens on most models, usually in the bridge pickup position.

Both POD and JTV are updated to the latest firmware.

What can I do? Please advise!

IF this problem primarily happens with the Modeling only, then, you can use the Workbench software to lower the output of the individual piezo pickups on a global setting that affects all models.

If the Magnetic pickups sound too hot, then you can try lowering the magnetic pickups away from the strings to lower the output level.
