Questions regarding the input selection between Mic & guitar.

Hello,

I'm very interested in the Pod HD pro, I've read the manual but some things remain unclear about the selection between the Guitar and Mic input.

Here's what I'd like to know:

- Are the input (guitar or Mic) saved with the presets ? (For example, if the presets are programmed to do so, will the Pod automatically switch from guitar input to Mic input when going from Preset A to Preset B ?) Or is it limited to manual selection between guitar and mic ?

- Is it possible to run the Mic input trought the (guitar) effects ? Or is it limited to some Voice oriented presets ?

- Is it possible to use both the guitar and Mic input at the same time, running in different effects ? (I don't usually play the guitar & sings at the same time but I may in the future... )

Pretty basic questions if you own the device I guess... but a bit difficult to grasp from a non-owner point of view. Plus I'd need a first hand experience to be sure of the answers to this questions.

Hope someone will be able to help !

Thanks !

As far as I know, with the HD500, all of your questions as possible. i believe HD PRO of course can do it.

    1. Inout setting are as PER PRESET. So if you saved a patch that has a mic input in it, it will remain as is. When you go to a preset that has a guitar inout saved, then you go back to the previous patch that you saved, you can see that your patch remained the input serting.

    2. Yes it is possible to run mic inout through the guitar effects. This is where the beauty of the hd500 and hd pro. The possibilities are too many. Yiu can even run mic input in front of an amp model!

    3. Yes you can use both mic input and guitar input at the same time running through different paths. (PATH A and PATH B) with diefferent effects in each path for as long as the DSP limit allows you. I used the same settings once when i performed live. Really cool!
