Using Acoustic Guitar

Is anyone out there using (with success) acoustic guitar through there Spider Valve amps??? Can I by-pass the amplifier's pre amp section and use my Baggs pre amp. Or is anyone using any of these acoustic amp settings you can download??
Thanks
Yes, it is possible to bypass the preamp and use the amp as a power amp only, I am pretty sure you just plug your external preamp into the return jack of the effects loop on the back.
And no I have not tried an acoustic through it but it might not sound too bad on clean with some of the internal effects.
Correction on the effects loop answer, That would be power amp in input jack.
Thanks
If you want to swap between your acoustic and electric, you may need an AB-Y box. Plugging something into the 'Power Amp In' will keep the amp's sound from coming through. You'd have only your acoustic sound until you unplugged the cable.
So, run the 'Pre-Amp Out' into A on the AB-Y box. Then, run the acoustic into B. Run a cable from the AB-Y output to the 'Power Amp In'. Then, you can switch between the two.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
