You can use Reaper.
It is not free but awesome and the cheapest one you can really work with professionally and with full function and ASIO support. After 4 weeks of testing you should be so fair and pay that tiny 60$ to get your private license, although it will continue working without.
If you buy the v4 license, you will also have the future v5 license.
The license is just registered to you, not to the pc. You'll get a license file which can be used for any pc. So you won't have any problems if you buy a new pc or have to reinstall your operation system.

Yup I do have reaper installed and Sony ACID Music studio 9 both demo version. I liked SONY Music studio 9 more than reaper. Both are quite similar to me. SONY's is $64 and reaper $60. I just found that Reaper has cool plug-ins. Guitar amp models and all.

not free either... but you should get the free trial to acoustica mixcraft. it's often compared to apple's garageband as it's very easy to use and reasonably capable.

Many plugins of acoustica mixcraft I think I have already seen as free vst download somewhere, e.g. Shred.
Here is the link I have found:
And I can remember this organ:
These ones are simple and easy.
Or a vsti - collection.
