I know it's not a great tool to use , but at the moment it's all I have. So, I have recorded a gig from my Ss onto an sd card, I can hear it back on the Ss , but I don't know how to get it to my laptop and into GarageBand. I have connected from pc output with the cable into my laptop and I have set audio drivers to m20d and I have installed the drivers. I have selected all the different channels in garage band corresponding with the channels on the Ss . Am I ment to import and wav files? Or am I ment to record the analogue signal from the Ss into GarageBand? I'm confused, I can get any audio from the Ss into my laptop. Help!!
Hi, I tried it for the first time and after a while I checked it.
You only make a new project, with a microphone track for example. then, on the right window, you select audio. then you can import from itunes for example.
draw your gb window to the right of your screen. then open finder and draw the window to the left.
Now you can draw a .wav file in the window of GB (you see the little sign +) and than the file will be convert
You can now draw each wav file to GB as a new track. When you are ready, you can hear the song and you can mix like professional studio. O.K., I prefer Logic, but it´s also possible in GB.
I hope you understand me, my English is not so good, I´m from Germany.
Regards Paul
Thank you for your reply . I can not see the Ss showing up anywhere on my laptop . Normally when I plug in a USB devise it shows up on my desktop, but I can't see anything. Am I missing something?
I did not try to connect with my Mac. I had a record on a USB stick. So I use the stick in my mac and I import the wav files.
It must be possible, to put the SD card in your mac direct.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
