Line 6 Spider iv 15 Help

Hi

i have a line 6 spider iv 15w amp and i wanted to find out if a electro harmonix metal muff pedal will work well with it on the clean channel to give me a better sounding metal tone? (For playing songs by artists such as metallica and megadeth)

    Have you tried that pedal with a tube amp to make sure you like the sound that the pedal creates?  If so, then try it with the amp.   The 'type' of tone you prefer is very subjective - what one person likes, may not be enjoyed by another.
