MKII FBV Shortboard with External Volume

I have a Morley Volume Plus and want to use it through the external expression jack on the Shortboard. I have attempted this but cannot make it work does anyone have an answer or suggestions? Thanks for your help.

    The Morley pedal has an input (for line from guitar) and an output (to amp).   An expression pedal will have one jack for a 2-conductor cable so that it can send a control voltage signal to the actual device controlling the volume (in this case, a Spider amp or Pod device).  In other words, it won't work!

     

    On the other hand, you can use the Morley in the signal chain from guitar to amp.
