HELP! Distortion on POD Farm 2 through Garageband

Ive been dealing with this for quite some time.

 

I have a POD Studio GX. Running into 2011 MacBook Pro. Into Garageband, with Mountain Lion. The recording sound no matter what is awful. The sound is completely muffled, distorted, and it crackles. I have My OS updates, Line 6 Monkey %100 updated. What do I need to do???
