CONNECT EXTERNAL PREAMP?

Is it ok to connect an external preamp to the guitar input of a Spider IV 30? I'd like to add the effects from my Rocktron guitar preamp to my Spider, but not sure if the output signal from the Rocktron is too "hot" for the guitar input of the Spider.

    I'm not 100% sure on this but, it should be just a normal signal coming from the preamp.

    as they also use this to plugin to a power amp, it seems that if the signal was too strong you wouldn't be able to do that.

    i assume your just going to be using it with a clean channel.
