Hi everyone! Looking at getting a G50 in the near future... but, there is always a but

My only query is will I need any kind of voltage adapter to be able to use it in both the USA and Europe or just a plug socket adapter? From what I can gather as long as the power supply is 9v DC and 500ma I should be able to use the same power supply (w/plug adapter) anywhere.

Can I use the same Power supply in both areas of the world? Do I need one for each? Or is what I'm asking completely out of the question?
