More on the 4cm

Dear all

I need a small help on the 4 cable method. I read most of the posts here so I got a basic understanding of the method but do not know if I got all well (I am just a bedroom player)

I go straight to my questiond. If I use a patch from the customtone, If I do not want to use the amp simulation but I want my amp, can I just replace the amp simulated  with the fx loop effect in the effect chain?  Also, if i use just a patch with an amp simulation is it fine to keep the pod connect to my amp with the 4cm.

I am really sorry if this questions are quite silly. Thanks in advance and happy ney year to all.

    1)   You would need to turn off the amp model and add the FX Loop and EQ.  You would also need to be aware of how routing and the mixer were located in the patch.  To be honest using stock patches from customtone may be tricky because I think the results may be difficult to predict and replicate.

    2)  No problem with leaving the POD in 4CM while using Amp models.  It is effectively the same as plugging the POD into the FX Return which is probably the optimal amp setup.
