Power supply for G50 Relay

Hi,

I'm on the cusp of purchasing a G50 relay but I have one query before I do.

I plan to keep the pedal receiver in my pedal tray, which currently has 3 pedals that are powered by the SoundLab Pedal Power 450. The three pedals are a Boss TU-2 tuner, a Boss GE7 EQ and a Boss NS1 Noise suppressor.

My question is this - is this power supply sufficient to power the G50 relay in this configuration? I understand that the G50 needs 500ma output at 9v, and this supply gives only 450ma - does this actually pose a practical problem or does the 50ma deficit make no difference?

Many thanks

Richard

And you have to remember that the other pedals draw power as well, leaving even less for the G50.

When you don't supply enough current a G50 will appear to work fine but it will be VERY unreliable.

Just use the factory supply on the G50 and all will be fine.
