Issues with EnGenius EUB-9801 wifi.

I'm having an odd issue with the EnGenius EUB-9801 dongle.  When I first got the m20d I used the dongle and it worked fine .  I got an apple airport express as well and that worked even better.  However, when I go back to using the dongle it now take a very long time for the app to connect.  For smaller gig where I don't use the airplay on the airport express I like to use the dongle as its way easier, no external power and other cables.  My iPad connects to the wifi dongle easy enough but when I open the app sometimes the iPad can't find it at all and says something about iOS needs to do something?.. Please dont tell me just to use the apple wifi, as when I bought the m20d and was told that the dongle would work , I bought the dongle expecting it to work, obviously, and need it to work or would expect some ind of reimbursement if it doesn't work, after I have been told it does work.  Anyone have this issue? Or can help?

Most likely this happens because of WiFi interference. If there is some WiFi or other digital radio, like digital wireless microphones, going on it could be that you need to use another channel (in the system settings.)

Sometimes it helps to re- configure the network on the iPad side (settings-> wifi-> forget network-> select stagescape as network.)

    Hey Doug

Some of the difficulty you are having may be due to "line of sight" issues.  If there are peoiple blocking the direct line from the dongle to your iPad you will lose some range and reliability.

An easy way to help is to use a short USB extension cable and raise the dongle higher up in the air.  Just don't tape it to a metal mic stand
