Agreed there is a risk in that case. Pretty sure drivng my car puts me at higher risk of fatality. At 110v current the risk is low but there. If your running 220 it's a bit more serious if the condition occurs. Running a GFI outlet mitigates this quite a bit. In the case of transformer failure your computer will not be running, so that should be a clue not to hug it. Other things to avoid while operating your computer with the ground removed:

Touching the chassie while standing on metal or in salt water

Operating it with a metal keyboard or mouse (because plastic isn't cold enough)

Using unpainted cases

Licking, kissing, hugging or other amorous behavior toward your PC other than blowing it kisses

Deffinately no teledildonics

I jest and in the strictest litigative sense there is a danger of harm including death. The USB device I linked should mitigate the pc issue with no ground removal if you determine it to be the issue. Removing the ground from the amp is serious as you are in constant contact with the metal strings and are part of the ground circut. Remember to have fun kids. Chim chim charooo!
