Can the HD Pro be used as midi interface?

I'm trying to use my Roland TD-3 electric drumkit to trigger midi in Reaper. I've set everything up DRUMS>POD>REAPER. And enabled the Pod HD as a midi device but I still can't get it to record.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry, the HD Pro and HD500 do not act as a Midi --> USB Interface. ![]()
I think that the HD 3/400 might do but that does not help you.
none of the pods can do this, not even the 300/400.
you need a seperate midi interface.
I stand clarified. Thanks Zap.
The POD MIDI implementation is not a complete/compliant implementation. It does not handle many standard MIDI commands, in particular the note on/off commands that are critical for recording a midi sequence.
Thanks for the help guys! What is the midi input and output used for on the Pod HD pro then?
basically for talking to other gear, synchronizing time and effects changes that kind of thing...
