POD Studio GX cracking sound when playing but not on recording?

Hello
I've just bought me a POD Studio GX and on 3 out 4 USB ports its constant cracking, popping sound and not playable at all.
So I'm happy to say there is still 1 USB that does work. Sound is all good and everything, I can record with good sound and all.
However, when playing (without recording or with recording doesn't matter) it gives me a cracking and popping sound every 10-20 seconds and here and then a big CRACK that is going to make me deaf after a while.
Since these cracks and pops don't record along with the sound (that is really weird) I can't show it to you guys because the recordings are all good sound without cracks.
Does anybody have any clue on how to solve this issue or to point out what could be the problem?
This morning when I played it was with almost no cracks at all, only a couple times a big crack and this afternoon it was with cracks every 10 seconds.
What could be the problem? Are my USB drivers not up-to-date? My laptop is too slow? I have too many programs opened?
Specs laptop used:
AMD Athlon-X2 Dual-Core QL-64
4,0 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
At the time of playing only Google Chrome and Steam were opened and of course Pod Farm 2.55 and my RAM used was around 56%.
Thanks!
Have you run the newest version of Monkey to update drivers and firmware? (should have green ticks)
That is the 1st easiest thing to try.
Yes i did that, all are green.
But I just found a fix. I checked for outdated drivers on my computer and some of my audio drivers were out-of-date so I updated them
and everything is fine now (don't know why Microsoft doesn't find these updates). No cracks whatsoever. Not even after playing 1 hour.
Thanks anyway
