Hey, just thought I'd pass along that after getting the dreaded Black Boxes of Death in the head's LCD display maybe 6, 8 months ago and figuring the head was done after about two years of heavy service (bought NEW for $450 just as the MKIIs were being released) -- it's back.

For $100 and a $3 voltage regulator, local guru sussed out that the low-dropout regulator on the PCB had failed and swapped it out. Didn't even lose any presets. Makes me willing to consider scooping up cheap MK I gear if I stumble into some.
