How do I get stereo (headphones) mix out of the 1/4" outputs?

Hi,

I'm finding the that having my headphones plugged into the headphone socket means I have to have to master volume very low & occasionally knock it accidently resulting in a blast of high volume.

Consequently I'd like to get stereo (headphones) mix out of the 1/4" outputs.

I've read sections 6.1 & 6.2 in the manual but am still confused. In Section 6.2 it suggests I should be able to 'Turn the knob' to select a mode from page 2 of the OUTPUTS screen, but turning it doesn't appear to affect the screen options at all.  I tried playing a test drum sound though the X3 from my DAW, panning from right to left but the pan didn't sweep across my headphones which I've got plugged into the 1/4" outputs. using a Hosa YPP-308 1/4” Stereo Socket to 2 Stereo 1/4” Plugs Y Adaptor Cable. (It does when the headones are plugged into the headphone socket as you'd expect).

Below are the screen shots of page 1 & 2 of the OUTPUTS screen.

On the second screen below it shows a right arrow to access settings. I assumed that would be pressing the right hand side of the 4 Way Nav button to the right of the screen however pressing that doesn't seem to do anytthing.

Any help - much appreciated.
