PODX3 Live Vs Effects Pedal Question

If I were to buy a PODx3, would I even need to buy an effects pedal? I also heard you can download effects onto the PODx3 Live, so wouldn't I be able to get the same exact stuff a 400$ effects pedal would have/can get?

    If you already have an amp and happy with your tone, youre better off buying a pure FX pedal (ie: the M13).

     

    IF you dont have an amp, youll be set w/ the X3L. Right now you can download FX onto it, only because it already comes with all the L6 models available. But if L6 puts out a new Model Pack tomorrow, and you pay for it, then yes you should be able to download the new models on there.

     

    Check the X3L site to see exactly what effects you get. You get prolly like 99% of the FX youll need.
