Riff works and windows 8

Recommended Posts

the line6 version is no longer supported nor has it been upgraded for a long time (i think it only supports xp)

you can pay a few bucks and get the full version at a discount by crossgrading the license: http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Riffworks_Crossgrade

or you can get the free version (T4) from the same site

either option would work.

As the title says does riffworks work with windows 8 I can't get mine to work and it keeps telling me to activate but I have no product key it just came with my guitar port.

I have the line 6 Edition running on Windows 7 it limits you to saving files as 16 bit. Still records good though. There's some other limitations too. I use the Standard Version also. I was putting together a song with somewhat complicated drums (at least how I did it, lol) and I ended up with a runtime error so I called the song Blasted Runtime Error, lol, and then used them again on Cool Drums Shred Other than that I like the program. Take a look at their website specs and/or give them a shout.

many thanks for the advice and help , but could you suggest a recording programme to use but I must also mention I am totally new to recording so something easy to use would be great.

many thanks,

gary

Have you tried Audacity? I just used it record to this Banjo Riff. There's bunch of free recording programs out there you just have to choose one and try it. When I first started I used Audacity and I still do. After a while of using whatever one you choose to learn you'll get the hang of it.

Also:  RiiWorks T4     Reaper
