tochiro Posted June 19, 2013 Share Posted June 19, 2013 Hi, I connected my acoustic guitar to the Aux Input, plugged a TRS to 2 x 1/4" mono adapter cable in to the FX Loop Send and plug the other ends into my StageScape (stereo pair on the StageScape). The FX block is at the end of the chain (no amp). I inserted a stereo delay in the HD500 preset but only get the left delay in the PA, not the right one. How come? Thank you. Rewolf48 Posted June 19, 2013 Share Posted June 19, 2013 This is a bit puzzling - are you getting equal levels of the acoustic guitar and Delay only on the Left? I could understand if you were only getting Left channel (everything) or were getting mono. Left Channel only could be mixer block pan settings, or simply a partially inserted TRS (Left is Tip). There are so many ways the signal in the HD500 can be summed or split, it's hard to comment without seeing the whole signal chain. Any chance you can put the H5E file for the patch up here? phil_m Posted June 19, 2013 Share Posted June 19, 2013 The problem is that the stereo delay is a true stereo effect, so in order to output a stereo signal it needs a stereo input. Because you have the delay as the first effect in the chain, you're only sending signal to one side - the left side. You need to set it up so that you're using both inputs for your tone. phil_m Posted June 21, 2013 Share Posted June 21, 2013 You set both Input 1 and Input 2 to Aux. Or you could set Input 1 to Aux and Input 2 to Same. If you're using the Variax input for different presets, you'll have to make sure you have the input setting set to Preset instead of Global so your other presets work the way you want them to. My guitar is connected to the Aux in and output from the Send using a stereo TRS and that goes to 2 entries of the M20D. Each entry is panned hard left / hard right and I correctly get the sound of the guitar left and right. But the stereo delay that is first in my chain of FXs remains in the center...
